It all started with hiking Katahdin. A few years later, I discovered that all of Baxter State Park is special. Baxter has become my spiritual home.
To encourage environmental awareness and responsible stewardship, the Junior Ranger program is designed to be completed by young people. I did the activities, they are fun, and I am honored with the badge.
Descending into the col from Hamlin, near Caribou Springs, I mentally asked Lucy at Finally Home: How old would you be, Lucy, if you did not know how old you are?
She does not know. Is that not great? And for myself, I do not know either!
